Geartech : my country has become the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of aluminum composite panels

In the late 1960s, Germany developed this new type of metal curtain wall material - aluminum-plastic composite panel, and established a large-scale production enterprise. The advent of aluminum-plastic composite panels, with its excellent materials, rich colors, easy transportation, easy processing and easy molding, as well as large-scale continuous production and superior cost performance, has created a new world of modern architectural decoration.

In the 1980s, the United States, Japan and other advanced countries began to build aluminum-plastic composite panel production plants. Modern large-scale buildings with silver-gray metal texture and strong visual sense appear in Eurasia, and foreign brands such as Alucobond, Reynolds, and Mitsubishi have also begun to enter the Chinese market.

By the 1990s, entrepreneurs in the coastal open areas were exploring and learning from monolithic cold pressing to continuous thermal composite production, gradually becoming mature. In the mid-1990s, China introduced an advanced large-scale production line for the first time, which opened the prelude to the modernization of large-scale production of aluminum-plastic composite panels in mainland China. The entire industry began to grow and expand in the process of introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation. In the past 15 years, China's aluminum-plastic composite panels started from scratch, and leaped to form an annual production capacity of nearly 450 million square meters, becoming the country with the largest production, largest use and largest export volume of aluminum-plastic composite panels in the world.

In the process of rapid development, from 1997 to 2001, it showed the potential and prospects of the whole industry with an annual increase of more than 45%. In the competition with foreign counterparts, the industry leader, from 2002 to 2003 in one year, the export of foreign exchange increased by 130 times.

At present, there are more than 300 aluminum-plastic composite panel enterprises in the country, and 204 aluminum-plastic composite panel manufacturing enterprises according to the national statistical caliber (all state-owned and non-state-owned industrial enterprises with annual product sales revenue of more than 5 million yuan), of which non-state-owned enterprises exceed 80%, mainly distributed in Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangxi and other places. In 2009, the annual sales of the whole industry was nearly 23 billion yuan, and the annual output of aluminum-plastic panels was about 240 million square meters, ranking first in the world, accounting for more than 90% of the world's total output.

China is currently the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of aluminum-plastic composite panels, and the product quality of some companies has reached or exceeded the level of advanced countries.
